About the Contributors

Max Malec, Year 3
Max Malec is a Trojan T.V. anchor and a Trojan Voice Newspaper staff writer, with experience in and a deep love for sports and sports journalism. Max’s background consists of various camps including the Penn State Donald P. Bellisario Broadcast Journalism Summer Camp and The Washington Journalism and Media Conference hosted by George Mason University. Through these experiences, he has been able to strengthen his knowledge in the areas of physical and digital media and journalism. Max’s deep passion for sports and sports journalism is what keeps him driven to accomplish some of the highest goals in the business. These goals consist of being an analyst of ESPN’s CollegeGameday and being a play-by-play announcer for any of the major networks. In addition, Max has an interest in constantly learning more about the field of journalism as a whole and how he can make himself, as well as those around him, better.
Max is a firm believer in the concept of hard work beats talent and everything that success is earned, not given. While Max has no shortage of talent, his constant desire to be better and improve those around him make him successful.

Julia Kennedy, Year 2
Julia Kennedy is a second-year journalism student at North Pocono. She joined the class for the writing, but quickly became enthusiastic about the film aspect as well. She enjoys every part of the class, but is especially interested in interviewing others and forming better relationships through her efforts. Along with that, she isn’t one to shy away from making fun of herself on camera- so long as the same won’t happen in person. She is proud of her more recent contributions to Trojan TV, and how she’s opened up to new opportunities presented to her.
Though she considers herself a quiet person, Julia is always open to conversation and learning more about those around her and the stories they have to share.

Jayden Lucia, Year 1

Arabella Slocum, Year 1
Arabella Slocum is a junior. This year marks her first year in journalism. She is extremely pumped up to expand her writing capability and knowledge. Even though Arabella likes journalism, her future plans have nothing to do with it. She wants to be in the medical field. An anesthesiologist is her big goal. She has had her heart set on becoming an anesthesiologist since she was only at the ripe age of eight-years-old. Arabella is a very ambitious, self-assured, outgoing, devoted, and last-but-not-least, considerate. Not only in her school zone is she all these things, she also applies them to her day-to-day life as in when she’s at work, home, or even out with friends.
