About the Contributors
Mia Summa, Year 2
Mia Summa is a junior and second year Journalism student. Summa joined the class for the interest of doing the Friday morning show called Trojan Television. With her love for sports and talking to people, Summa felt this class was the best option. Mia was never a great writer until she took the class and got so much better. She enjoys being in the class but a special thing is of the friendships she's made. Summa seems to have an even bigger voice than before, and more confidence about herself. By far she loves making Trojan Television but overall Mia loves writing a good article. As Summa has a crazy junior year, she plans to major in Special Education and a minor in communications.
Amaya Monacelli, Year 2
Amaya Monacelli is a senior and a second year journalism student. Monacelli’s passion for journalism originated with her love for sports communications, but grew very quickly after she was exposed to Trojan Television. Amaya is an outgoing individual with a love for talking to people and spreading news to her peers, so it is no surprise that she is fine with embarrassing herself in front of the student body. Monacelli loves all aspects of the class, however, speaking on camera and “TTV On the Street” is by far her favorite part.
As Amaya goes away to college next year she is planning on minoring in communications and furthering her education at Central Connecticut State University. Her passion for the subject will only push her to grow as an aspiring writer and journalist.
Alaina Kelly is a junior and a first year journalism student who decided to take journalism to enhance her writing skills and explore new opportunities. With her great love for skiing, Alaina hits the slopes as often as she can during the season. She also has been swimming since she was two-years-old and is determined to continue her swimming career for as long as possible. As the youngest of four children, Alaina has two older brothers and one older sister. She grew up on Long island but moved to Clark Summit, PA, in the seventh grade, where she attended Abington Heights until her sophomore year before transferring to North Pocono. Despite the move, Alaina frequently visits Long Island to enjoy the beach and reconnect with family and friends.
Ella Daniels, Year 1
Ella Daniels is a junior and a first year Journalism student. Ella joined the class to hopefully improve her writing ability. With her passion for writing but her distaste for speaking in front of others she enjoys the environment of expanding out of her comfort zone. Daniels thought this was a perfect opportunity to help with her social skills and put herself out there. In the future Ella wants to major in Criminal Justice and minor in Forensic Science. Daniels isn't a very outgoing person unless she gets to know the group she is around very well. She is a multi-sport athlete including travel softball for 11 years and counting, along with varsity volleyball for 3 years.
