Grace Beckish is the daughter of Shannon and Michael Beckish. By
graduation, Grace will have completed 12 AP Courses. She is an AP
Scholar with Distinction. Grace is involved in PMEA, Environmental Club,
Model UN, Scholastic Scrimmage, and Mathletes. She is a community
math tutor and an international English tutor. She volunteered with the
Lackawanna Environmental Education Center throughout high school and
has worked three part-time jobs. Grace participated in selective national &
international summer programs focused on astronomy research, literature,
and international relations. Recently she was chosen to be a guest
speaker for a regional summit focusing on community stewardship and
environmental leadership. Upon graduation, Grace plans to pursue a
career in environmental advocacy and creative writing.
Dillon Brace is the youngest son of Patricia and Jerald Brace. He is
currently taking 6 rigorous AP classes to total 11 in his high school career.
He is currently placed 4th in his class and has maintained high honors
throughout high school. Dillon is a member of the Science Olympiad team,
the Boy’s tennis team, and mathletes. After graduating, he plans to attend
college to major in Biomedical Engineering and become an engineer in the
future.
Christian Segiel is the son of Rich and Kim Segiel. Christian will have
taken 13 AP classes throughout his high school career. He is currently
taking AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, AP Physics 2, and
AP Literature. Christian has received high honors each quarter while at
North Pocono. Christian is a member of the Science Olympiad team as vice
chairman, cross country team, tennis team, Mathletes as Treasurer, and
Reading Celebrations. He also was awarded AP Scholar with Distinction
and the National Rural and Small Town Recognition Award. With Science
Olympiad, Christian has earned several state medals and helped the team
to a 6th and 7th place rank at the state level in the past two years. He is an
altar server at St. Peter and Paul’s Parish in Scranton, a volunteer for the
Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign for the past 4 years, and an SAT
math tutor. He plans on studying chemical engineering after graduation.
